Arena Meta - willllll - 01-31-2024

One aspect to consider is changing the pool of enemies in the arena that we face. Many squads are from players who have been inactive for many years, and their squads are outdated. If the arena pool for 500-point battles were to include the top 100 squads on the leaderboard, it would make a significant difference. Many new heroes have high defense attributes, and Demoralizing Roar would not be very effective against them. This change could shake things up.

Yes, valid point!

When I started playing arena around March last year I played against some active players like _EZ_, however since around June/July last year it's always been outdated players.

Even though the current match-ups are one-sided in favor of the player, the missing feeling of any real competition has been very very boring for a long time now. It really needs a change!

Side-note: the occasional The Withered in an enemy squad still freezes the game...

Maybe removing the inactive accounts from the pool of options. That could be something to twist arena a bit.

As a player who enjoys the strategic aspect of the game, I welcome the idea of facing off against more current and competitive squads in the arena. Adapting to new challenges keeps the gameplay experience fresh and engaging, and it encourages us to explore different tactics and team compositions. I believe this change would enhance the overall competitiveness of the arena battles

Long ago, i would agree, but not now. With many players being deep into physical debuffs meta, suddenly making it useless would cause too much troubles. Not everyone has enough resources (and characters) to just switch back to dots. And of course many players invested a lot in characters that are only being used on arena, and for most the amount invested is too significant for such a sudden change that would make it all for nothing.
