Enough to make sure that you can stand outdoors during the night and quickly see the Milky Way. For those of you that periodically such as to watch the night sky, this location is so dark that you can look straight at the Pleiades Constellation and also see it, without utilizing balanced out vision. One location that we've taken pleasure in going to in the past is Chaco Canyon. Officially, it's referred to as the "Chaco Culture National Historic Park." It's located in the northwestern corner of New Mexico. We could say it's near the town of Cuba, however the truth is, it's more exact to claim that Cuba is among the closest communities.
