This is a sequel to the 1999 film, "oaks". I'm a big fan of the first movie. I really don't like any sequels. I like the new title though! I think this one will be okay.
So I got this book. I'm not really a fan of these books where people are trying to learn the English language. I like the stories about kids having a wonderful time but still being able to learn about the language. It's nice to be able to enjoy books that are fun to read. I like the illustrations a lot and am looking forward to reading this one.
There is a story about a young girl named Ella who has a good heart and always helps people. She doesn't feel bad when someone gets in trouble. She just loves helping people. When she is in the library, she meets a lady named Mary. Mary is the librarian and she's nice to Ella. Ella tells Mary about her dream and how she wants to see the world and go to places she's never been. Mary tells her a story about people who went to the moon. Ella is so excited because that means they can go to places too!
The author describes the moon as bright and full of clouds. You can tell that Mary likes to tell stories because she has such interesting things to tell. She describes what life is like on the moon. They grow their own food there. There is a whole life there that Ella can only dream about!
The illustrations in this book are amazing. Every page has a different view of the moon and its surroundings. Every time Ella looks up, it's different. Every time Mary talks, it's different. It's a really good book that I'll be reading over and over again. |
