It was entertaining, yes, but it had some real problems in it. The acting was pretty poor and I honestly don't know why Jesse Vint, Jr., was in this film. He does an alright job in films like "Dumb and Dumber" and "Varsity Blues", but I'm not sure what his motivation for making this film was.
The characters were very stereotypical, and I know it's an attempt to try and be more realistic, but to be quite honest, there are plenty of modern movies that are just as one-dimensional.
The story was pretty much what you would expect - a bank robber, an amateurish attempt to capture him, and then the movie ending with the guy getting away in a helicopter. There wasn't much to it, and nothing really happened.
This movie also made me appreciate the "Rumble in the Bronx" a little more. That movie definitely had more substance.
One more thing - I don't know about you, but I watch movies for the story lines, not the acting. It doesn't have to be great acting, but it can't be horrible, either.
So what does this film add to the "Rumble in the Bronx" or "American Hot Wax"? What is the appeal? I think the appeal is the car chase, which happens to be a pretty good chase in this film. As a bonus, it also includes a car chase at the end.
It was probably a very good car chase, but I thought it was a little one-dimensional. I just didn't like the movie for that reason.

I agree with most of your comments, but I think you're missing out on the significance of the movie: |
